Embellishing a candle with bamboo
As you know a candle may be embellished in many different ways. Previously we have discussed various botanicals, such as dried flowers, leaves, sticks and twigs. Bamboo can be used to embellish the outside of a standard pillar candle and that's what we're going to do today.

Using a Pouring Pot
I always recommend pouring melted wax from the double boiler into a pouring pot. Using a pouring pot reduces the chance of spilling melted wax and makes filling molds/containers easier and safer.

Multiple wick candles
The making of a multiple wick candle is done by spacing several wicks an equal distance apart. This particular candle making project contains five wicks. The additional wicks will add a magical touch to any room. You may choose to use a circular, oval, square or rectangular mold for this project.

Making Tallow for candles
Tallow as you know was one of the first mediums for making candles and soaps. Tallow is made from various animal fats that are melted down and clarified. This process is called rendering, which is a process for separating fats from other organic materials.

Giving your candle a cracked appearance
We all have seen candles that have a cracked surface. They are unique and give a rustic looking appearance. Have you ever wondered how they do that? Today, we will be making such a candle.

Corrugated candles
Using corrugated cardboard to give a candle a ridged texture can be used to add a different look to your latest candle making project.
